Trapped Within
Behind a metal cage, I stare,
Envy pulses despite you being a meager crow.
You catch my eyes, unaware,
Of the jealousy shot at you from below.
How wonderful to slice through the sky,
On exquisitely black, shining wings.
Never pausing to investigate why.
Or waste time pondering things.
Soar on wings of integrity,
Away from this place;
A useless barren city.
A malignant space.
How fortunate for you to be able to leave.
Leaving behind a lonely girl, with dead dreams weaved.
