Escape Plans
The wake of blur with surrounding dimness,
Takes shape behind my unforgiving eyes.
It keeps me in a state of awareness,
One that rarely, if ever satisfies.
This cruel world engulfed, with one that makes sense.
A temporary remembrances of joy,
In a place where hate is sadly entrenched.
I sail away from this spiteful shoreline,
Knowing the futility in my tries.
Shortly, I'll be dragged back, with hands unkind,
Restored loneliness in my bitter cries.
This insane plot of mine is sure to fail,
Take the wheel, I'm too impaired to sail.
