Like a stick of shriveled cinnamon
Offset by creamy white
I think of you and cry
Lost in the shadows of paint
Until the fluttering grows faint.
Like rain-splattered leather shoes
Slid on veiny feet
My heart goes out to you
Caged by carpet and shoelaces
Even as cool glass separates us.

Absolutely wonderful! What a.... I am struggling with words. Almost mysterious. With such strong emotion. I like. Very much. I like the style of the poem. I like your similes and style for this poem. Thanks for sharing!
