Mother
I see my mother cry
Her faith dropping to her heals
Her feelings I won’t pry,
But I want to kiss her tears
Her eyes reveal her pain
And the wisdom of her years
Life won’t ever be the same,
But I want to kiss her tears
Her hands cover her face
And my thoughts she cannot hear
She suffers sorrow and disgrace,
And I want to kiss her tears
She’s young and beautiful
She’s strong and true
I love you mother,
I live for you.
She dries her tears away
And shines a smile
She knows her tears are worth the while
I hold her closely,
And say I love you…
I love you mother
