Choosing Highschools
14 Two roads diverged with each road I choose tears roll off my eye,

16 One path I look ahead and footprints are still fresh and numbered

14 The same footprints I once walked with and laughed with many a nigh.

16 The other road is without flaw and there knowledge spreads chambered.

14 My confused heart is torn between two, which tears shall I cry?

16 Tears are not permanent, they have no face value, but mine furthered

14 I walked ahead alone and in darkness, but I caught thy.

16 My friend is new and special not meant to replace but to neighbor.

14 Tears stopped flowing and understanding slowly took I.

16 I was meant to take this road, roads may never be what they seem blurred.

14 Take the road less traveled my and greater rewards shall lie.

The author's comments:
I decided to write this when I was trying to figure out which highschool I was going to. My best friend was going to a highschool that my parents didn't think had very good academics so instead they wanted me to go to a college prep school. I was so upset about leaving my best friend until I met new friends. Maddie can never be replaced, but I wanted other teenagers to know that something good always comes from something that we may think is bad.

Great Poem! This is a piece that can be very inspiring for teenagers who are afraid to travel down a different road. Keep up the inspiring work.
