if thoust giveth a mouse a cookie

Beware when thoust giveth a mouse a cookie

The rodent will implore thou for one more.

And if, perchance, thou is a rat rookie,

A cookie the mouse shall receive wherefore.

Hungry mice are birthed from conniving loin

A hungry heart is no more flesh than stone!

Should thou allow wicked rat to purloin

Mal’tentioned rat will strip thee to the bone.

The mouse will ask for candies and sweet treats,

The mouse will ask for cake iced and ice creamed.

Next he’ll want dinners of wine and red meats,

Lo, thy barren wallet, thou hast been schemed!

So when a mouse next asks from thou a boon,

Tell the mouse thou would sooner jump the moon.
