Around and Around
It was warm summer when I loved you first.
Glittering waves formed into promise rings,
Smiling so wide I thought my heart would burst.
You were sweet like the fresh picked tangerines
In the fall, the rains started coming down
And an offbeat silence filled up our home.
It was the first time I thought I might drown
in the bathroom lay your abandoned comb
Winter came with newfound desperation
And a chill that forced us back together.
Yet again you became my fixation
And I loved you second through harsh weather
When spring came, I knew our love would not last
cherry blossoms that bloom and fade too fast.
