Fake Friends
Don't tolerate me, stay here or leave me!
I dont want your sympathy or fake lies,
Please don't lead me on, don't be a bully
Can't you see the hurt in my faded eyes?
Don't treat me like all we had was nothing
Dont talk to me as if you even care
I know better now, that im just a thing.
Don't treat me like a "thing" that needs repair!
Don't feel sad, I should be blaming myself
I let people in and they tear me down
Why do I think MY life will fix itself?
I'll never fix myself in this small town
Is there even one person that is real?
Until I find one my heart will be steel.

I wrote this sonnet after learning how in my Honors English Class last year, and I wrote it about a best friend of three years, one where we did everything together and we said we loved each other every time we would depart. And when our friendship ended as sudden and shockingly as it did. I went cold for a while, and this was my sonnet to her. Mariah.
