The Cure

March 6, 2018
By Anonymous

I used to hope and pray for you;

But wishes don't always come true;

I was all alone;

And then it all changed when I met you.

I know the cure to heal my heart;

But it's not here with you;

I am running back;

To the girl I used to be.

I am going back;

To the boy who never chased me;

Now he wants me by his side;

The way it always should have been.

We are together once again;

Still young enough;

To remember how we felt;

Without our other half.

I am alone no longer;

Oh, how good it feels;

When you put your arm around me;

And your lips meet mine.
