Trust Me
Honey, please put the gun down,
Don’t sit at night and cry out.
I’ve been right where your sittin’,
Heart broken and just feel like bleeding.
Trust me when I say suicide is not worth it
Don’t end the pain, it just worsens it
For the next person.
Trust me when a say
To put the rope and throw
All those blades away.
Trust me they’re not your friends
They’re you enemies.
Friends wouldn’t want you to bleed
And those demons in your head,
They’re not telling you the truth.
Trust me when I say these things are true.
Why would I lie to you?
You’re beautiful just the way you are
And it hurts me when I see
All these scars on your legs and arms,
And it worsens my heart not knowing
Whether or not you’ll still be here.
From the start I knew something was off.
You started wearing long-sleeves and jeans
And when I asked, you just got mean.
I’m sorry I told all those teachers.
It’s not like I meant t.
I was just worried,
And I didn’t know how else to show it.
So, trust me darling when I say I care.
I haven’t lied now so why start here.
when I say I love you with all my heart,
and even then a lot more will still remain.
So, darling, trust me when I say
You’re beautiful. Just trust me.
Just trust me.
