I'm touching the windows on this train, and they're getting colder.

I'm seeing things that I didn't before, now I'm getting older.

Up ahead, where the track ends

There's fire in the distance,

As the world behind me melts.

But I'm cold to the end,

'Cause I'm my only friend,

And pain is all I've felt.

I've lived every life I've taken,

I've made every rule I'm breakin',

And there's just one thing I'd like to find,

A way to leave this all behind.

I'm reaching out to the pasture, and I'm feeling glass.

I'm seeing the life that I never missed, it's disappearing fast.

I saw the beginning,

Saw all I'm admitting,

And the best of all I've seen

Wasn't the sky, but the beauty in blood,

And the story of where it's been.

I've lived every life I've taken,
I've made every rule I'm breakin',
And there's just one thing I'd like to find,
A way to leave this all behind,

Because when the last train left this town,

There was no one there watching me get out.

I left the best of me back home in heaven.

I can feel it now; it's began to deaden,

And the only way that this can end,

Is through hell's black death I used to dread.

I never wanted to die forgotten in dust,

Now all the bright life is turning to rust,

And I'm fading away.

I've lived every life I've taken,
I've made every rule I'm breakin',
And there's just one thing I'd like to find,
A way to leave this all behind,

But I will never touch your face again,

And you'll never see how this will end,

The heat is getting broghter. The world is getting blacker.

The train has stopped and I've met my master.

Hey, everyone! So I pitched the idea in creative writing club at school to have life compared to a train with windows looking out at brilliance and beauty that can never be touched. Someone challenged me to write a song about it.
