Favorite Quote:
"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm." - Abraham Lincoln

It is the moment that splits the day without a clock,

Will hit you like a rock,

will make you just stop and freeze...

Now look at the sunrise please.

It'll flush over your face,

With orange,

Not the taste.

No discriminative ways,

We all face its rays.

It soon passes quick,

but soon comes again.

And i will be lit,

by sunrise again.

The author's comments:

I remeber I was in middle school riding that big yellow bus to school, and I was sitting in the back for a change, and what an amazing new perspective I got! It was sunrise and all of the kids looked orange! It was as if the color of the sunrise replaced whatever pigment they had in their skin. I thought it was beautiful and at the moment the poem just came to me and I wrote it on my way to school.
