Get your facts right first, then you can distort them as you please. - Mark Twain

I see your tears streaming
Across the mask you wear
Torn between people who claim to be there
But we're never alive
Long enough to help you survive
Black ink bleeds down your arms
Where you write to prevent bodily harm
I see you hunched over
Waiting for lunch to be over
Could you see that I crave to know
The real you who hasn't shown
I want to be a friend
Let you know this isn't the end

Girl inside I die too
Because it seems light won't shine through
The veil isn't pierced
Life is still black and white
And it's a never ending fight
That needs to be brought to light
Pictures speak of the terror you've endured
The depression still isn't cured
But I'm still here for you
It's the least I can do

Mello out for a change
No matter how strange it feels
We can turn this mad dog
Into a diolouge between us two
I feel strong to save another
Not for glory
But to help salvage their story
Hope is out there for you
See for yourself that you're a beautiful girl
And to that special someone you mean the world
I hope and pray that one day
This can fade
And I can see the life you have made
Please don't take that opportunity away.

I wrote this in class at school. I felt strongly when I saw a girl alone at lunch but didn't have the right words to say at that time.
It finally came to me.
