Burning up that paper
That silly untrue letter
You sent me a long time ago
The golden flames spread wider
Grey ashes fall to the cold floor
The smoke is stinging my eyes
I don't care when it does so
You said you wrote it in your blood
Now I know the pen was bright red
The things you said fade like a dream
The paper burns like my screams
