Walk The Line
I walk the line
Yeah, a straight line
Never stepping out
The voices tell me to stay
Don't stray
I try to tune turn them off
Why is it like this
You know?
So scripted
We all walk here
Together
Afflicted
I try to get a glimpse
In front
Up ahead
Try to see what's coming
But all I see
Is a head
A head full up with
Empty promises
Hopeless dreams
I want to voice it
But can't. My
Silent screams
Can't carry trough this crowd
The footsteps
Drown them out
They march in rhythm
Carrying
Blank faces
Carrying a host
A body
A corpse
Because that's the way it goes
Walk the line
