The summer heat’s really getting to me
Every time a car pulls in my street
I pray it’s you
When the clock strikes 12 & there’s a shooting star
My one wish is you’re not too far in a plane
You’re on your way
I have to hear your voice, one day’s too long
So every time my phone rings
I pray it’s you
It’s all your fault I can’t fall in love
Because really there’s no comparison to you
My love

You’re the only one I want to sing me to sleep
And then wake me up to say you love me
There must have been an angel that made our eyes meet
When all we’d seen was separate lives too far apart to believe this
It had to take more than luck, so I’m giving up
I love you

The air up north must be driving me insane
When you talk about what you love I want to love it
There with you
Everyday you walk by thousands of people
Plenty don’t know your name or that I wish
One of them was me
24 hours to miss you is too long
I’ve gotta keep in mind I’m closer to being
There with you
If I was right then that very same angel
Is making sure everything falls in place
My love

You’re the only one I want to sing me to sleep
And then wake me up to say you love me
There must have been an angel that made our eyes meet
When all we’d seen was separate lives too far apart to believe this
It had to take more than luck, so I’m giving up
I love you

It must be the summer heat
Every time, every single time
I pray it’s you
It’s about time I stop ignoring my heart
Fate’s really pushing it, isn’t it?
I love you

It had to take more than luck, so I’m giving up
I love you

Long distance is never fair, but love that makes it through is truly meant to be.
