Childhood seems so carefree
Dreaming of simple things
Laughing and loving unconditionally
Fear escapes you and me
As we experience the good, and unconsciously await the bad

The pains, the joys,
Of living in a world
Full of people that don’t accept,
Don’t understand..

Years go by, and things change
Things that once were new and scary fade..
Everything dulls as comfort surrounds you

Friendships begin..life seems easy
