"When you're young, you can fly, but we trip on clouds 'cause we get too high" -The Band Perry (Song: Don't Let Me Be Lonely)
"Cause no matter what, you'll never be alone" -Lady Antebellum (Song: Compass)

(Verse One)
Crank up that music
Set those worries free
Forget the past, let it be
Dance until you loose
Tonight is your night
To make a memory
Be more than happy
And shine your light

(Chorus)
Get a taste of the wild
And enjoy being young
It doesn’t last very long
Put on a dress and a smile
Come join everybody
Own that dance floor
Like you’ve done this before
And start the party

(Verse Two)
Don’t let anyone
Bring you down tonight
Show them you can fight
Until the party is done
Get into the groove
Don’t let them judge you
Their opinion isn’t due
Just bust those moves

(Chorus)
Get a taste of the wild
And enjoy being young
It doesn’t last very long
Put on a dress and a smile
Come join everybody
Own that dance floor
Like you’ve done this before
And start the party

(Bridge)
Make the most of all this
Don’t even briefly delay
Or it might slip away
For this is a precious gift
Cover up the clocks
Don’t worry about the time
It will all be just fine
No need to keep watch

(Chorus)
Get a taste of the wild
And enjoy being young
It doesn’t last very long
Put on a dress and a smile
Come join everybody
Own that dance floor
Like you’ve done this before
And start the party

"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present." --Marcus Aurelius

I would absolutely love to hear this to music. Your song has a wonderful, carefree feeling to it that I think is familiar to all of us wildhearted teens. Occasionally, I lose the rythm as I'm reading it, but I suspect that's because I'm not hearing the music you heard as you wrote this. Songs are trickier in that way. But this is so full of spirit and freedom, it doesn't fail to bring a smile to my heart :)
