Scars and Scarlet Tears
She is sitting with her friends, laughing the whole time.
No one would guess she's unhappy.
She is at the football game, cheering with her friends.
No one would guess that she's got scars, and she cries scarlet tears.
Just because there's a smile on her face, doesn't mean that she's happy.
Everyone thinks she's got the perfect life, they'd never guess that she's got scars, that she cries scarlet tears.
She is sitting home alone, when she breaks down and cries.
No body knows she's unhappy.
She takes out a blade, pulls it across her wrist.
Nobody knows that she's got scars, that she cries scarlet tears.
Just because there are no tears on her face, doesn't mean that she's happy.
Everyone thinks she's got the perfect life, they'd never guess that she's got scars, that she cries scarlet tears.
She stays after class, and pulls up her sleeves,
When her favorite teacher sees.
He never guessed she's unhappy.
He pulls her aside and asks her what happened,
When she admits she's got scars, and she cries scarlet tears.
Just because there's a smile on her face, doesn't mean that she's happy.
Just because you can't see her crying, doesn't mean she doesn't have scars.
Doesn't mean she doesn't cry scarlet tears.
Just because I'm smiling, doesn't mean that she, isn't me.
