Kiss away my tears
Touch away my fears
Love away my doubts
Of so many years
This is all I ever wanted
All I ever dreamed
But you did the opposite
Remorselessly, it seems
You led me on
Without a care
Proclaimed your love
When it wasn’t there
But me, I was
Too blind,
Too naïve to see
Looking over the lie,
Looking only for the
Love that I
Hoped to be
I made out our future
I made out our plans
Put them into stone
Hoping we would last
But now I’m down from “that” cloud
Letting go of “that” fantasy
Brushing off “that” dream
Excepting Reality
