That old dirt road
It’s late, he’s not home. Feeling totally alone. Here’s my chance there it goes out the door onto that old dirt road. That old dirt road.
He pulls up lights aren’t on I’m asleep couldn’t wait up for him anymore.
I wake up he’s not with me there’s a note on the fridge I’ll be back in the morning. And I think to myself “but which day?”
There goes our relationship out the door onto that old dirt road. That old dirt road.
What am I doing sitting around. I love him but it’s hurting me it should be plain for him to see.
But he’s blinded by the poison, the poison it kills love so quickly. The love we used to have on that old dirt road that old dirt road.
