Plot Twist: Identity Crisis
He sees you standin'
Standin' all alone
He sees you wonderin'
Wonderin' what went wrong
He knows you're hurtin'
A blade jabbed through your heart
But you're the person
Who caused this all to start
You say it's nothin'
As if that line is new
"It's just a thing that
Doesn't involve you"
You make him move on,
Forget there's something wrong
But your little secret
Can't stay safe for long
All your life you've labeled it your enemy
And now somehow you are just what you hate to see
It dwells inside; hopes you will never realize
Where is your escape
You're your own enemy
Slowly creepin'
A poison through your veins
All resistance
Just seems to end in vain
Further spreading
Deep inside your heart
You want to stop it
It's tearing you apart
All your life you've labeled it your enemy
And now somehow you are just what you hate to see
It dwells inside; hopes you will never realize
Where is your escape
You're your own enemy
It's taking over
Breaking you down
You know it's over
Can't turn this around—
But I can
For you I've paid the debt
For all your two-faced wretchedness
You are weak
But I will make you strong
Be with you all along
And though you still will fall
I will pick you up, and with a kiss
Place you one step closer to righteousness
