Worth the Wait
Grasping at the edges
Fighting for all it's worth.
Is it really time to fall,
Is it time to hurt?
Holding back my tears
As I fall down on my knees.
Is there anyone who will
Hear my desperate pleas?
It's the wait that kills
The wait that makes me break apart.
It's the wait that kills
And leaves me with
All of these scars.
These feelings inside
Tear me apart.
This waiting for love
Is a hard way to start.
But maybe, maybe
It's worth the wait.
At night the silence brings
Questions to my mind.
Maybe this is all mistakes
Maybe it's a lie.
I fight these doubts that come
and slowly conquer them.
The love we have is real you see
And never was pretend.
It's the wait that kills
The wait that makes me break apart.
It's the wait that kills
And leaves me with
All of these scars.
These feelings inside
Tear me apart.
This waiting for love
Is a hard way to start.
But maybe, maybe
It's worth the wait
Cause we both promised
It would never be to late.
