Sifting through the wake
Searching for the reasons to the sure
scraping and digging with aching hands
For a hold to keep from drowning in the mire
That holds you down
Filling your heart and lungs
Turning flesh to murk
In the mire of fate
You cannot escape
Deeper own unto yourself
To cancel the vibrant lights
In the Marsh of the ancients
No one can hear your screams
Only your forbidden soul
Can tell your story
Through whispers and wake
Sifting for truths untold

Really great and descriptive! Maybe just try to connect each sentence to one another a little bit more so that's not so random. But all and all, I really enjoyed it.
