The change so many have tried.

I wish I could see
All tears we have cried.

I wish I could see
So many things:

The past
The future
The times I've succeeded
The times others tried
The ones I miss
The ones I'll never see again

I wish I could see
My life flash before me

I wish I could see
What I've so wanted to see

I wish I could see me

Almost a riddle, this odd piece was composed for a creature not unlike myself. In confinement, this being wants to succeed at what others around her have failed, and to know what she looks like.
