Letters from the Advice Column
We’re too young to feel this old
When I expect things to get better
I’m always left out in the cold
I’ve been there before, and sometimes I still am
I’ve fallen before, but somehow I still stand
Let’s drive for miles until we lose track of time
It’s been a while since I could tell you I feel fine
But I’ll find out.
And I know you feel frustration
When things still stay the same
When you expect a new tomorrow
You’ll end up with a blank page
I’ve been there before, and sometimes I still am
I’ve fallen before, but somehow I still stand
Let’s drive for miles until we lose track of time
It’s been a while since I could tell you I feel fine
But things have changed.
I’ve never been the best at first impressions
But I’m worse at second guessing
If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that
You’ll only sink if you can’t swim
Let’s drive for miles until we lose track of time
It’s been too long since I could tell you I feel fine
But now I know.
Let’s drive for miles until we lose track of time
It’s been a while since I could tell you I feel fine
But that was then.
