Trapped In The Dark With Your Words
I was told that sticks and bones break our bones,
but words don't hurt us,
what does that person know?
Because I know that everybody knows a place,
where the sun won't shine,
and the rain keeps coming down,
trapped in the dark,
no one hears our screams. No they don't.
Why do words hurt so much?
why can't we laugh it off like we just don't care? Why not?
If we could we would...
Lock your words,
where the sun don't shine,
and the rain keeps coming down,
'cause maybe in the dark words will die.
Everyday in the mirror now,
we'll be lookin' at ourselves,
you'll wonder "what's wrong with this?"
we should all know that answer...
don't waste your breath...
please shut it.
nothing's wrong.
Everybody knows that place,
where the sun don't shine,
and the rain keeps comin down,
the only thing holdin' us there is us!
