...And a decade flew by!
It is hard to throw light
On memories so beautiful and bright.
It’s hard to explain,
How to you I owe each gain,
To describe the love whose constant showers
Made buds bloom into flowers.
Today, as I stand here to bid adieu
My heart is painted in a million hue.
There is a bright shade of gaiety
And a darker shade of anxiety.
Happiness over having gained so much
Pain of leaving behind so much.
The memories of this decade blind my eyes,
Loving days recalled, and my heart cries.
To the teachers who were always there,
To the friends with whom my burden I did share,
I owe all that I have, and all that I shall ever be,
I owe it all to my school family.
The scolding, the encouragement and the punishment,
To it all, I owe every little accomplishment.
How to repay this debt, I do not know,
But in the future wherever I may go,
In my memories and in my heart
My school and I shall never grow apart.
