Life as a Double-edged Blade

Double lives create depression,
One in light and one in shadows,
Lies pile up and make frustration,
Words are nothing but empty shallows,
Two people in one you cannot be,
Hypocrisy controls your reason,
You’ll end up being your own enemy,
Who you are depends on the season,
You let God have bits and pieces,
Lukewarm water has no uses,
Your soul is not on various leases,
God is not known for truces,
But forgiveness and grace are around the bend,
What you’ve done doesn’t matter,
God can save you in the end,
No matter what your shoulders’ chatter.
