She walks through life
With her head held high
Greeting pain face-to-face with
Her silent cry

Her shoulders won’t shake
Tears won’t run down her cheeks
Yet if you look closely you can see
Her silent cry

You won’t hear a shout
Nor any complaint
But it echoes in her eyes
Her silent cry

So continue walking by her
You won’t hear if you don’t try to
Though it’s too loud to endure
Her silent cry
