With Him
Verse 1:
Did you ever watch the shadows creep up the wilderness?
Did you ever see nature in her true beauty bliss?
And did you ever see the sun set before your very eyes,
Or see the lightning strike up that great fiery pride?
Chorus:
The green and blue and gold around you,
Shedding light and life surround you,
And all the beauty, and all the miracles
Show that He is watching out there somewhere.
And all the beauty and all the miracles you see…I truly God’s work at its best.
Verse 2
Did you hear the cicadas shrieking their songs at twilight?
And can you hear the winds and wolves howl into the empty night?
Or have you heard the stars twinkling their love song in the sky,
And have you let your ears dance to the mysterious face in the night?
Chorus:
The stars and moon and night surround you,
Shedding light and mysterious night surround you,
And all the mystery and all the miracles
Show that He is listening out there somewhere.
And all the mystery and all the miracles your hear,
Is truly God’s work at its best.
Verse 3:
Did you ever taste the sweetness or fantasy in you nighttime wish?
Or have you ever tasted his love mixed within his every kiss?
Have you ever tasted love drifting through the air?
And if you haven’t, one day we’ll all taste the love so fair.
Chorus:
The ever-lasting love surrounds you,
Shedding smiles and laughs around you,
And all the beauty and miracles show you
That He is listening out there somewhere,
And all the beauty and miracles you taste…
It’s truly God’s work at its best.
Verse 4:
Can you feel the wind’s arms wrap around you?
Just like your true love’s warm arms do?
And have you ever felt the warmth of his brown eyes,
When they stare at you and nothing’s what they hide?
Chorus:
His ever-lasting love surrounds you,
Holds you, loves you, and sheds light around you.
And all the beauty and all the miracles,
And all His love shows that He is watching,
And all His warmth shows that He is listening.
Way out there, oh somewhere,
Because all the beauty and miracles you feel,
Is truly God’s work and its best…
Yeah it’s truly God’s work at its beeee-est.

Whoa Alana! This is definitely your best piece thus far, in my opinion. The imagery and flow is so amazing and powerful and draws you in. This opened my eyes to see things like I had never considered or imagined...
Like I LOOOOOOVE the part
"Or have you ever tasted his love mixed in with every kiss?
Have you ever tasted love drifting through the air?
And if you haven't, one day we'll all taste the love so fair."
