To say &quot;I love you&quot; one must first be able to say the &quot;I.&quot; <br /> Ayn Rand

Frozen fields have no mercy for a shovel.
Whispers in the wind,
'Til the end,
Your faithful friend.

The sands of time slip slowly by.
An endless shore shines,
Radiant and red.
A guilty gulf filled with the life of the dead.

Sand underfoot captures one final photo.
Proud men sin and fall in to the rift.
The long line leading to a red sea,
Right off a cliff.

Search the skies for souls to steal.
Search the sands for tags to sift.
Fight fire with fire with no free will to feel.
For a faceless king, Forever you must kneel.
You give your life for him to deal.
Too late to realize your fate is real.

I was inspired to write this song by a guy I know in school who is joining the army. I just want anyone who understands to read it really.
