Grade School, pt. 2
I met him at our school
All just 7 years ago
I thought he'd be my Bestie forever
Ohh, how little did I know
That you'd be the type to ignore what's right in front of you
To go after a girl, who never had (and never will) feel anything for you
Why would you want her?
Why do you chase her,
When all she really wants is a ..... well, no one actually knows
I fell in love with my best friend from grade school
He said what? And I told him that I kind of did
I fell in love with my best friend from grade school
I told him then; but he just ran away ahead
I fell in love with my best friend from grade school
He said what? And I told him that I thought he knew
I miss you, leave her alone
And come back here, I'll tell you what you don't know
The other side of her
The face I've heard before
That snubs your friends and at your expense,
kicks you when you're on the floor
That voice thats always hidden
Under her foundation and her giggles
That draw you in, and catch you every time
And as I stared I counted
All the times you bent backwards
And leaped through hoops
Just to see her smile
I guess that I'm just bitter
That you will always love her
When I've been first in line
I even told you how I felt,
But you just ran away
I guess I'll never know
I fell in love with my best friend from grade school
I asked myself why
I've finally just let it go
