40 Miles of Bad Road
Saw a mile of road
Went no where I knew
I took your advice for once
And headed straight through
Desperation and desolation
Where English is forsaken
As criminal to the mind
All our feelings must be kept inside
I only want to touch you
To feel my hands brush your hair
Its okay if you don’t want it
I don’t really care
I’m trapped in self-pity
Doubt, and concerns
Just talk to another man
I’ll be waiting here
I honestly can’t tell you
If I’m trapped, or nervous
But know that my gazing
Is the spawn of fear
I’ll probably never make you
Follow what I mean
But know that I love you
Since I headed straight through
