Favorite Quote:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world; there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. We were all born to make manifest the glory of God that's within us - it's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
-Nelson Mandela

For many a time
And many a year,
The thing I lacked,
The emotion I feared,

The one I ran from
For I knew her not
Has come back to my soul
And staked out a plot.

Love is her name,
A song on the tongue,
A sweet, little ditty,
And immortal hum;

The voice of a mother
Gentle yet firm
Teaching her children
The proverbs to learn.

Trial and error,
A long winded ride
Hatred was seeded,
But has run far to hide.

I've come to know
Through a friend most wise
That God often speaks
Through a parents eyes.

The yelling voice
Familiar, yes,
But seek a bit deeper
And you'll have to confess

That god's is the voice
You hear and reject
So thank you folks for caring
And never forget

That their job is hard
And someday soon
You'll find you hear
God's loving tune.
