"Nothing can stop you from being terrible once you've learned how." -Holly Black

I am slowly slipping into the shadows.
Your words press against my throat like the gallows.
The sea you drown me in is ever so shallow.
You've cast me into the darkness where no one will follow.

Why can no one see past their atrocities?
For you are no better than me.
Another difference, another judgment, another blasphemy.
You stare down upon me through eyes of vanity.

See past this sightless facade,
And decode what it is that you are doing to me.
End my dread on this broken night,
And blight my despair into the blinding light.

Don't pair your pity with my misery,
For I've found meaning in this transparent scenery.
Perched upon your vain head, I see no crown.
You've put me here, and you will watch me drown.

Blind your sight to my pain,
And watch me die, to you its all the same.
You will deafen yourself to my cries,
For Hell resides in your eyes.

Stare in awe as the moon
drives its dagger in the back of the sun,
Bleeding towards an eternal swoon.
The final battle, they have won.
