Now I hate the sunshine
And every rainbow I see
I’ll stop wishing on a star
Just look at where that’s left me
Alone, hurt, sad, and confused
And totally torn apart
I might just stop loving

Chorus:
Cuz now I know the true meaning of darkness
It’s the emptiness that fills your heart
When the one guy you really and truly loved tears it apart
I told you I was sorry, but you didn’t seem to care
What I wouldn’t give to hear from you
To know that I’m forgiven for
Whatever it was that I didn’t do
Just know that I will always love you

All I have are memories
And the little things no one else cares about
Like the song we would sing together
Or the guitar pick you gave me after you taught me how to play
I put it on a chain and I’ll wear it everyday
Where you’ll always be close to my heart

Chorus~

In my new world of darkness, you’re my only light
When I see you in my dreams, I pray I won’t wake up until daylight comes
And when a tear slides down my cheek
It’s because I’m thinking of you
My first and last love (3x)
Oooh

Chorus (2x)

My first and last love (fading until end)

I honestly think this is one of the best songs I've ever written. All my songs are based off of personal experiences, so I'm sure alot of people can relate to them. Check out my other work please!
