Has life ever tossed you around?
When your up and down
And the sky is the ground.
Your feet become the clouds,
As you stare towards the sun.
You’re at the mercy of the wind,
Who pushes you to run.
With you arms out stretched to the earth,
Your hands become roots,
As they search through the dirt,
For a grip on life; it must hurt.
This broken world’s open sores,
Now naked to the sun,
Are in the spotlight even more.
These golden cattle rods,
Don’t discriminate in the hands of God,
You can only wish the blue turns gray.
You realize your woes,
And triumph are equal foes,
That both reflect strength from the light.
