I Don't Wanna Know
(Verse 1: Singing)
God doesn't want! To just threaten us with fear
He just doesn’t wanna make us feel,
Like we were forced to adhere
And he definitely doesn't want to promise us with,
Grandeurs of the afterlife, when
He couldn't even promise us land like he was supposed to give
(Chorus: Singing)
If they put a gun to your head, no one will blame you
If they put a cross around your neck, we won’t praise you
If punishments of hell and promises of heaven is what persuades you,
Then how do you expect us to save you?
(Verse 2: Rapping)
Would you steal if security was looking right at you?
No you wouldn’t, but you would if no one would arrest you
It’s not a change of heart, it’s a fear of prison
It shows your morality, and how you’re driven
Would you go to Africa and save all the children
If you don’t expect nothing in return for giving?
Mother Theresa even half expected
Something extra as she left for heaven
Or hell, whatever. We look up to the sky
Want eternal bliss, but we wanna stay alive
If it’s a superficial need, shouldn’t we envy
The people that already have the pleasure of sweet sleep?
(Chorus: Rapping)
If they put a gun to your head, no one will blame you
If they put a cross around your neck, we won’t praise you
If punishments of hell and promises of heaven is what persuades you,
Then how do you expect us to save you?
(Verse 3: Singing)
If we doubt, we’ll be free
If we doubt that he can see
Then he’ll judge who we are
And not who we claim to be
So we don’t know where we stand
If we fall, where we will land?
Will we go deeper or rise again?
For now, I’ll stay here in the sand
CAUSE I DON’T WANNA KNOW!
I DON’T WANNA KNOOOOOW……
(Chorus: Singing)
If they put a gun to your head, no one will blame you
If they put a cross around your neck, We won’t praise you
If punishments of hell and promises of heaven are what persuade you,
Then how do you expect us to save you
When we don’t even know where we stand?
If we fall, where we will land?
Will we go deeper or rise again?
For now, I’ll put my money on staying here in the sand
Cause I don’t wanna know
I don’t wanna know……….
