Love Song To Life
A tale of Birthday Balloons
And Macaroons,
A story I’d tell forever.
Where the hero can win
Against evil and sin
And the lovers are finally together.
A song of smiling,
A song of laughing,
And of Dancing through the night.
We’d sail the seas
On a warm Autumn breeze,
Till winter chills take flight.
A tale of heart breaks
And big mistakes,
A story that stops and starts.
That speeds through the good
Just to get to the bad
And slows down at the lonely parts.
A song of falling,
A song of failing,
And of crying through the night.
But getting up in the morning
And stopping your mourning,
Because of the sun’s brand new light.

I actually started writing this poem using fridge magnets (the birthday balloons and macaroons part) and then just went from there :)
