Shooting Star
You think it's easy
What I'm doing now
Honest ... kind of queasy
Cuz I'm wondering how
I don't think you know
What I'm thinking about
You buried me deep down
Didn't think I'd find a way out
But I promised
And here I am
I'll be here for you
And I'll be damned
Cuz
How could you leave me in the dark?
Pushing me back, taking the spark
That made me
That made me a shooting star
What are you doing to me?
Making me diffident and leave
I made a comeback
I came back as a shooting star
I came back as a shooting star
I came back as a shooting
Star
You don't know
what to do right now
You thought you were in charge (but you're not)
So stop pushing me around
It's really unfair
How your clinging onto me
I guess you're just dependent
And that will always be
Yet I never shrugged you off
And I never pushed you down
i always put you first
No matter who's in the crowd
So
How could you leave me in the dark?
Pushing me back, taking the spark
That made me
That made me a shooting star
What are you doing to me?
Making me diffident and leave
I made a comeback
I came back as a shooting star
I came back as a shooting star
I came back as a shooting
Star

When I wrote this song, my class and I were learning the plot diagram and all the different components. My inspiration for this poem was the climax of a story. The turning point. After learning about the climax, I wanted to write a song about a person who changed their life for the better. A person who had a turning point.
