Sure Looks Good to Me
With you, everything seemed to be perfect.
You’re the image that I’ve always wanted
Teenage Love Affair.
Troubles
What you showed me was a mask.
Why Do I Feel So Bad?
I gave you my all
I was never enough.
What you destroyed was…

This piece meant a lot to me due to the fact that it was about my past relationship. It was a verbally and phyically abusive relationship and thoughout the entire relationship I always blamed myself for what he did to me. I never talked to anyone about it and writing poems and just writing in my journal about this was easier than saying it out loud. It took me some time to realize that I wasn't the one at fault.
