If I had one, I'd tell you.

There’s one in every generation

Menace to the population

Of Elwood, Donnie and Me

It’s the same demon we see

Elwood’s was friendly

Donnie’s was scary

Mine’s a mixture of the two

He comes up behind me

Shows up in blank TVs

But there’s nothing real bad he can do

I can control mine

At least I think

It’s an inflated ego that makes mine shrink

And the others became servants

But mine serves no purpose

Other than to make me shrink from dark places

And be wary of faces

That are meaner than mine

I guess it’s the same

Demon the three of us find

Facing all of the time

But together we’re fine

Where they’ve been all my life

I really don’t know

But we face the same demons

Wherever we go

I’ll see you in Wonderland

When I make it there

Elwood and Donnie

And all our march hares

Before you ask, Elwood and Donnie are only brothers in spirit. But I feel we bond, through something very distinct.
