Overcome the Inside
Overcome the inside
Overcome what you feel
Reach and find what's truly real
Decline life's devilish deal
And don't let death's lips unseal
Break free of the monotonous life wheel
We're all the same yet so different
All focused on the past rather than the current
Worried about the wants but never the urgent
Only seeing the pain inside
Rather than what all the possibilities may hide
Struggling to swim in the rising tide
Trying to find out who told the truth and who lied
But we can't rest faith in flesh lips
When you build on unsteady ground
The building tips
The seams rip
And it all falls apart
If I cared about my inside I'd have no heart
The biggest problem
Is just knowing where to start
So stop staring at yourself trying to remember
Rather than rip and dismember the entire picture
Be better than you were before
Because the old you
Doesn't have the same opened door
Each path you enter
Leads to more so don't stop hoping
Cause bad memories are no way of coping
Don't fall into the trap of never ending moping
Overcome the inside
Overcome what you feel
Reach and find what's truly real
Decline life's devilish deal
And don't let death's lips unseal
Break free of the monotonous life wheel
With every feeling I locked away
It only gave me less reasons to stay
I can't just concentrate on the hate
I can't keep saying “just wait”
I needed a reason to wait outside the gate
I have the key
But the key has a date
I can rearrange the day
And change my fate
But am I really ready to stop the play
Call a timeout
Or stay in the game
And wait till I make everybody know my name
Work every minute till I reach my fame
Cause let me tell you
I can't get this inner tiger tame
I keep trying to lash out
Like water rushing out of a broken spout
My flow's just out of control
As I go over every single doubt
But I'm not about to keep my eyes on that
I gotta keep my mind on the future lines
Rather than what I already spat
Pay no attention to the puddle on the floor
Only see what I need
To shake these people to the core
I only notice what I tear
Not what I tore
Overcome the inside
Overcome what you feel
Reach and find what's truly real
Decline life's devilish deal
And don't let death's lips unseal
Break free of the monotonous life wheel
