The March of the Death Camps
Hear the marching of their feet
Hide in alley ways branching off the street
Watch them go marching by
Hoping they don’t see me out of the corner of their eye
I hear stories that people are going to hide
I see children like me who start to cry
Wear a yellow star on your clothing they demand
Jews can only stay out ‘till five, and here we stand
In a secret room inside a house
Where our family has to be quiet as a mouse
Thinking that we’re safe and sound
Until the Nazis SHOUT out loud
“Let us in we know you’re there”
Mommy and Daddy hug me to show how much they care
They put us in carts and send us away
To work in Death Camps forever to stay
