Everyone Knows
Everyone knows green and yellow made blue,
And unicorns and dragons are found in the zoo,
And that after you eat, in the loo you must poo,
And that foul Bella Swan’s just one big Mary-Sue.
Everyone knows lots of wonderful things:
How to sing, how to dance, how to talk to a stream,
How to stare at the colors without going blind,
How to grab a few friends and tap-dance through the night.
Everyone knows, but do they understand
What it’s like to be stuck in a bad marching band?
Or why Spanish dancers must dance the can-can,
Or why when you spin and spin you no longer can stand.
Everyone knows Green and Yellow made Blue,
But not one person knows there’s a Me that loves You.
