My Addiction
Most people my age ask “why”
In the moment I might shrug and not reply
Because explaining might take a life time
And almost be a crime
I do it to escape
I can picture the landscape
Love the heroes
Agree with the psychos
I can be content
With a story indent
On my brain
But maybe I’m insane
I can hope
And I can mope
I can fear the villain
But still, I’ll be chillin
With a book in my hand
In my homeland
The land of books
With all those outlooks.
