Aboard a Sinking Ship
Anchors away
As they say
Moored in place
At an awful pace
As my mind slowly drifts astray
Rocking back and forth
While trying to prove your worth
Trapped on a sinking vessel
They all expect you to wrestle
So you don’t drown in mirth
“Ahoy” shouts the captain
Cheery in spite the walls he’s trapped in
“Your work does not stop”
“No matter how the seas chop”
He calls from his cabin lined in satin
