The Last Resort

a piece of paper
droplets that smear the writing
it’s weighed down by tears.
stuffed in a bottle
hastily, no thought put in
desperate measures.
trapped, away from them
a last resort, a last chance
trying to reach out…
the paper yellows,
never to be seen again;
drifting forever.
