Proverbs 3:5-6

Sweltering landscape,
The smiling sun now free
And the breeze has died.

It’s changing, falling,
Sometimes slow, sometimes fast
Preparing for cold.

The wind’s icy breath,
Penetrating all jackets,
Waging war with warmth.

The war has been won,
Warmth winning with a rainbow,
Hope of the seasons.

The author's comments:
This is a series of haikus to describe the seasons. When spring comes, it seems like a war between war between the spring and the winter has gone on, and that metaphor is taken and extended in these poems.

What a gorgeous series of haikus. Each one is unique and beautifully worded. My favorite line is "Waging war with warmth". I thought that was really poetic. Great job! Five stars

i never thought about it like that, but now that I do, you are right! What began as poems about the seasons, became a description of life! Thank you for this insight! :)

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

So true! So beautiful! I love it. I love that you can also use for life, in this crazy world we live in. I cannot say anything, excpet that I am awed by your talent and that you are a wonderful person and writer. I hope to read more of your work soon. Thank you for sharing this!

I love this! I personally haven't been much of a fan of poetry but this is really well written. Keep up the good work!
